The 14th
Annual Hudson Natural Open was once again a huge success. Thanks to all the help
from both Minnesota, and Wisconsin. This event filled up to our set limit of
contestants by mid September. I hated to turn away people from this event, but a
one platform, one day event can only handle so many lifters before the quality
of the meet suffers. Neils Anderson trophies were given out. T-shirts were
available, and for the first year of the Hudson Natural Open’s history, we had a
Minnesota/Wisconsin team challenge. Hudson is located on the border of Minnesota
and Wisconsin, so we get good participation from both states. This year
Minnesota won the traveling trophy by a very slim margin. (1017 wilkes points to
1010 wilkes points) Each state had a team of 10 lifters. Of those 10 lifters,
the top 6 wilkes formulas were averaged to determine the winning state.
Congratulations to Minnesota this year. The Challenge was a nice addition to the
meet. Results submitted by Shawn Cain. (Meet Director)
