Important Supplement recall notice.

With the introduction of hormones into supplements back in 1999 it presented a danger of cross contamination with products such as protein powders and creatine. This was due lack of quality control in the manufacturing process of supplements. Hormones based products would often be manufactured in the same vats as other common supplements.

This presents the danger for drug free athletes who can accidentally ingest banned substances by mistake resulting in positive drug tests and subsequent suspensions. The problem of cross contamination has presented itself once again in the supplement industry. The company bodybuilding.com are engaging in voluntary recall of 65 their products due to concerns of steroid contamination. Please visit this link to the FDA site about the matter.

Where it is tragic for any lifter who believes in competing drug free to fail a drug test in such a way it is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY as athletes to be aware of what you put in your bodies. Always research what you take extensively to avoid issues with your drug free status.
