Bench Nationals 2005
Minnesota had five lifters this year at Bench Nationals in St Louis Mo, Sept 17th and 18th. It was a well run meet, with every detail thought of. Saturday night included a Bar B Que, and strongman contest. And for some of us, an evening with the Master Wild Flowers of the Bench. It was good to see friends from all over the USA again. It was a fun time with some great lifting, records were falling everywhere.
Minnesota lifters included:
- Fran Huston, making two attempts an a Pr of 110kg, and a new state record.
- Joe Warpheha making his second attempt of 177.5 and injuring his Pec on his third attempt.
- Jody Fjelstad making all three attempts with 170kg, A new Pr and possible state record.
- Kregg Weispfenning making his first attempt at 245kg.
- Micheael Ricker, with a Gold in the Raw division. Passing on his third attempt with an injury because he under estimated the affects of the weight with out wrist wraps.
