Cory Nelson and Jon Krogman at Jr/Teen Nationals
Cory competed at this years Jr/Teen Nationals. Cory set a new MN state squat record in the (T3-198lb) break the record held by Mike Sigler since 1987. Cory also set a National record bench at the meet of 185K (407lbs), won the T3 - 198 lb division, placed 3rd overall out of 15 198s (all divisions), had the 3rd best squat and the 2nd best bench out of all 15 lifters.
Eighteen year old Jonny Krogman competed in and won the 242 T3 class. Jonny had a solid day finishing with a 1664 total. He managed to break the Teen 18-19 deadlift record with a 612 pound deadlift. The previous record, held by Mike Siegler, of 600 had stood for 16 years! Spetznatz also squatted 650 and benched 402. He finished 2nd overall out of fourteen 242ers. Jon had the best squat and the 3rd best bench and deadlift in the class.
